Hayastan All Armenian Fund raised $9,856,100 at its annual 22nd telethon aired live by the Public Television of Armenia.
This year’s event was being held under the slogan To my beloved Armenia: Water and Sun to the Communities.
The funds will be directed to water supply and solar energy porjects in Artsakh and three regions of Armenia: Tavush, Lori and Shirak.
The donations are expected to benefit over 100 communities, providing them with 24-hour water supply, free heating and electric power.
The 2018 annual event raised $11,109,00 – an estimated $1,300,000 more compared to this year’s donations, Tert.am reports.
