Putin Thanks Russian Peacekeepers in Karabakh Region for Professionalism, Endurance, Persistence

Thanks to the presence of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, the humanitarian situation has been improved, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reports.
''Our peacekeepers have been assisting to maintain stability in the Karabakh region for more than a year. Largely thanks to their efforts, the humanitarian situation improved, the territory of a number of districts has been cleared of mines, social infrastructure facilities were restored, historical and cultural monuments were preserved'', Putin said at an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry.
Putin thanked the personnel - performing peacekeeping tasks- for their professionalism, endurance, and persistence.
