Earthquake Hits Georgia –Azerbaijan Border Zone
On May 10, at 01:41 local time (on May 9, at 21:41 by GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Survey for Seismic Protection of the MES of the RA recorded an earthquake at the northern latitude 41.40⁰ and eastern longitude 45.80⁰ geographic coordinates (Georgia –Azerbaijan border zone, 57 km southwest from the town of Lagodekhi), with 3.7 magnitude and 10 km depth.
The tremor measured magnitude 5 points at the epicenter area.
The earthquake was felt in the town of Noyemberyan, in the villages of Koti, Barekamavan and Koghb in Tavush Province with 3 points intensity.
