Ruben Rubinyan Receives Delegation Led by OSCE PA President

On June 15, the RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan received the delegation led by the OSCE PA President Margareta Cederfelt that arrived in Armenia on a working visit.

The Head of the Armenian delegation to OSCE PA Eduard Aghajanyan and the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan attended the meeting.

Welcoming the guests Ruben Rubinyan valued the cooperation between Armenia and the OSCE PA.

Reference was made to the normalization process of the RA-Turkey relations.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Armenia presented the current situation in the region after the 44-day war, the bellicose statements and actions of Azerbaijan and unsolved humanitarian problems.

According to Ruben Rubinyan, despite numerous calls of the international community, Azerbaijan continues using Armenian prisoners of war and other held persons as political hostages. It has been noted that the immediate return of the persons being in Azerbaijan is on the agenda of the Republic of Armenia.

The OSCE PA President highlighted the establishment of long lasting peace in the region and the efforts of the Armenian side in the direction. Speaking about the cooperation within the framework of the structure, Margareta Cederfelt highly appreciated the work of the Armenian delegation in the OSCE PA.

Let us note that the Special Representative of the OSCE PA on South Caucasus Kari Henriksen, the OSCE Secretary General Roberto Montella, the Deputy Head of Vienna Office Tim Knoblau, the Adviser to the OSCE PA Secretary General Freyja Koci and the Assistant to the OSCE PA President Jonathan Demner are in the delegation.
