The Foreign Minister of Armenia received the members of OSCE needs assessment mission

On October 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the OSCE needs assessment mission, headed by the representative of Poland, the chairing country in the OSCE, Colonel Robert Arkadiusz Tkaczyk.

Welcoming the members of the mission, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the OSCE needs assessment mission in Armenia, the necessity of which occurred following Azerbaijan's aggression against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia on September 13-14, fully corresponds to the organization's mandate and objectives.

The decision to send an OSCE needs assessment mission to the Republic of Armenia based on Armenia's appeal was made by the OSCE Chairmanship and the Secretariat, taking into account the relevant decisions of the OSCE Ministerial Council, which were adopted with the agreement of all participating countries of the Organization.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia expressed hope that the mission's activities, observations and final report will be a source of objective information about the situation resulting from the Azerbaijani aggression for the OSCE Chairmanship, Secretariat and the member states, as well as will play a role in preventing new possible aggressions and establishing sustainable peace in the region.

The representative of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, participating in the meeting, briefed the members of the mission on the current situation in the border regions.
