FM, EU official discuss Armenia-Turkey relations
On November 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Michael Siebert, the Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE of the European External Action Service.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation and regional security. Ararat Mirzoyan and Michael Siebert exchanged views on the activities of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed upon the approaches of the Armenian side on the establishment of stability and peace in the South Caucasus. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's warmongering rhetoric and non-constructive policies undermine peace efforts, meanwhile the chance of a new escalation remains high.
Ararat Mirzoyan also touched upon the normalization process of Armenia-Turkey relations.
