Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman

Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman, who is in Armenia on an official visit, and his delegation.
President Khachaturyan hailed the visit of the delegation to Armenia and expressed confidence that this visit will give a new impetus to Armenian-Croatian friendship, developing and strengthening the cooperation between the two countries even further.
“I am sure that your visit will strengthen Armenian-Croatian friendship and will contribute to the further development and strengthening of the relations between our countries. Visits like this are advantageous from the viewpoint of adjusting, discussing and orienting our future steps and mapping out new horizons. I also want to express my gratitude to you for your position on sending EU observers to Armenia. Unfortunately, our neighbouring country isn’t ready or, at least proves with its actions, that it isn’t ready to sign a peace agreement yet. Once again, I welcome you in Armenia and wish you fruitful work,” said the President in his speech.
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia expressed his gratitude for the reception and noted: “This is my first visit to Armenia, the first official ministerial visit to Armenia in the history of Armenian-Croatian relations. I am very satisfied that I will have an opportunity to speak to you and meet our Armenian partners within the framework of this two-day visit. I think we need to establish even closer cooperation and expand the scope of the partnership, in order to do even more,” said Gordan Grlić Radman.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon the opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in all the fields of common interest. Within this context, they welcomed the idea of holding the joint business conference scheduled within the framework of the visit of the Croatian Minister. Both sides also attached importance to taking steps aimed at the realisation of the unused potential in the field of economy, and it was noted that there can be mutually beneficial projects, particularly in the fields of information technology, education, science, tourism and more.
The sides also touched upon the crisis caused by the blockade of the Lachine Corridor and the importance of resolving it as soon as possible.
