Serzh Sargsyan Received the Chairman of EDB

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today received Dmitry Pankin, Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).As the Press Service of the President informs, the President congratulated Pankin on his appointment as Chairman of the EDB Management Board and expressed the hope that his experience and knowledge will give fresh impetus to the bank’s development.

The RA President and Chairman of the EDB Management Board noted that Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union opens up new horizons and creates favorable conditions to promote cooperation between Armenia and the EDB.

In his turn, Dmitry Pankin expressed satisfaction with the fact that yesterday the Republic of Armenia and the EDB concluded the Investment Loan Agreement for the North-South Road Corridor Construction Project (Tranche 4) at the government building. He noted that the bank is interested in implementing different projects in Armenia in the areas of, inter alia, infrastructure development, energy, agriculture and mining industry and is glad that Armenia, too, prioritizes those economic spheres.
