UN to Give $15 Million to Nepal
$15 million from the UN emergency fund will be allocated to Nepal to help them start relief operations, where thousands have already perished, channelnewsasia.com reports.
"This will go to support to UN agencies to meet emergency needs that include... food, water, medication, but also logistical support," - Jens Laerke, spokesman for the UN humanitarian agency OCHA said.
He also mentioned that a UN flash fundraising appeal to donors will also be launched in coming days.
