NKR Foreign Minister: Perpetrators of Sumgait Genocide should be Punished
Sooner or later, the perpetrators of this crime, whose names are well known, will receive their punishment. The NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan said after paying tribute to the victims of Sumgait at Stepanakert memorial complex, Artsakhpress reports.
"The best answer to Azerbaijan’s claims to exterminate Armenians in Artsakh is the existence of Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh with well-established state system, democratic institutions, which very well illustrates how much can be achieved by people who are fighting for freedom. There are many documents and testimonies of witnesses to prove that a genocide was committed against Armenians in Sumgait and everything possible should be done to achieve the condemnation of this crime," he mentioned.
