How Stepanakert Assesses Sargsyan-Aliyev Meeting?

After Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting in Vienna, Stepanakert, the capital city of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, expects a certain reduction of tension. "According to the information received from the media, in the near future there will be some progress. However, this should not inspire us and make us forget about the main problems we face," this was declared by the deputy of the National Assembly of NKR David Ishkhanyan in an interview with "Armedia" IAA.

"In recent years we have witnessed how Azerbaijan promised something, but did something else - quite the opposite," the deputy said. According to him, despite the expectations on the reduction of tension, today the full potential for solving security problems should be used. David Ishkhanyan complained that during the meeting in Vienna, there was no word on the withdrawal of heavy artillery, snipers, as well as addressing other issues related to the defense line.

In regard with the reduction of tension after Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting the experts of NKR also do not have special expectations. "At the time, when talks were held in Vienna,  shelling of our positions continued all the night. We had a loss. How can we trust Aliyev?! This person never keeps any of his words, does not follow documents, which he signed," an expert Janna Krikorva said in an interview with "Armedia" IAA. She also stressed that none of the international players taking part in the meeting in Vienna take the responsibility for the fact that the agreements are violated.
