Today the Pop Queen Cher Turned 70
On May 20, 2016 is the 70th anniversary of the American singer and actress Cher (Sherilyn Sarkisian). She is one of the few stars that at the same time have the awards "Oscar", "Grammy", "Emmy" and "Golden Globe", received for her work in film, music and television industry.
During her career, which has continued for more than 50 years, Cher has become one of the performers with the most records sold in the history of the music industry.
Cher is the only singer whose songs for fifty years (since the 1960's and 2010's) were in the top ten in the US charts (published by US magazine Billboard).
Cher is included in the list of 100 outstanding performers of rock 'n' roll of the twentieth century, compiled by the American music channel VH1.
