US Allowed Boeing and Airbus to Sell Planes to Iran

The US government allowed the aircraft manufacturing companies Boeing Corp and Airbus Group SE to sell planes to Iran, which is a powerful breakthrough in trade relations with the West after the lifting of international sanctions in January 2016, - The Wall Street Journal reported.
Iranian airline Iran Air in January announced plans to purchase Airbus aircraft, but the deal has stalled because of the need to obtain approval from the Office of the US foreign assets (Office of Foreign Assets Control, OFAC). Approval of the US regulator was required as part of the Airbus aircraft produced in the US.
