Armenian Chess Players Won Two Gold Medals at World Junior Championship

Two Armenian chess players - Hayk Martirosyan (age category up to 16 years) and Manuel Petrosyan (under 18 years) have won the Youth World Chess Championship, which ended on Monday in Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia), Novosti-Armenia reports.
A native of Karabakh, Manuel Petrosyan is the current European champion of 2016, and Martirosyan was ranked at fifth place at the same championship.
FIDE World Chess Championship among boys and girls up to 14, 16, 18 years, started in Khanty-Mansiysk on September 21 and ended on 3 October. The tournament was attended by 412 chess players from 61 countries - 221 boys and 191 girls.
