UNHCR to Support Syrian Armenians

Christoph Bierwirth, Representative for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Armenia has expressed willingness to support the Syrian Armenian families within the framework of the mandate and capacities of the UNHCR Office, Armradio informs.
In a meeting with Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan he has mentioned that relevant work in that direction is under way.
At the end of the meeting the Ombudsman hailed the efforts of the UNHCR Office in Armenia aimed at providing assistance to Syrian Armenians.
The parties attached importance to the frequent meetings and discussions on the matter.
