Farewell Ceremony for President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev Held at Presidential Palace

The Presidency hosted a farewell ceremony for President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev who had been paying a State visit to the Republic of Armenia. Before that, Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Rumen Radev held a brief meeting at which they summed up the results of the visit.

“Dear Mr. President, Mrs. Radeva,

Once again, I would like to express my pleasure for your visit and note with satisfaction that it was perceived very positively in our society. And this is one of those cases when business is combined with pleasure: we reached a number of agreements; on the other hand, the feedback coming from our society evidences that Bulgaria and the Bulgarians are held in deep respect in our country. I am sure that you were able to notice this attitude during your meetings in Yerevan yesterday, and I hope that you had effective meetings during your stay,” President Sargsyan said.

The Bulgarian President thanked President Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan for the invitation and the exceptionally warm reception, underlining that yesterday they really felt at home in Yerevan.

“The same can be said about Bulgaria’s attitude towards your country and people. I am very glad that we were able to catalyze our relations and give them new impetus.

It is very important to create a favorable atmosphere in the political field. I can say with certainty that yesterday I grew more determined in my feelings that the relations between our nations are really very warm. Especially, I would like to mention the school named after Peyo Yavorov where we were given a very warm welcome.

I am happy that business ties will be reinvigorated. We are going to sign two other memorandums, which will add momentum to the development of cooperation. I pin great hopes on the business forum to be held in Burgas this June,” Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said.
