Russian Ambassador to Armenia Completes His Diplomatic Mission
On April 7, President Serzh Sargsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Ivan Volynkin who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country, official page of President reports.
The President of Armenia thanked the Ambassador for his tenure-long good work and valuable contribution to the development of Armenian-Russian relations, stressing that the Embassy’s active work is part of those extensive efforts made jointly with the Russian leadership in a bid to deepen and strengthen the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership.
President Sargsyan noted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Russian political dialogue and economic relations are developing consistently along with the cooperation in the humanitarian, military and military-technical spheres.
Thankful for Serzh Sargsyan’s appreciation, Ivan Volynkin emphasized that the efforts of the Embassy staff and their associates who love Armenia accounted for the current achievements. They did everything possible to contribute to the expansion and deepening of relations between the two countries. The Ambassador noted that the two presidents’ personal contribution has gone a long way toward strengthening the Armenian-Russian friendly relations.
Ambassador Volyinkin concurred with the President’s opinion that many achievements had been recorded in bilateral relations over the past few years and expressed the hope they would be continued.
Noting that it was a great honor for him to exercise in Armenia, Ivan Volynkin said that he had not only enriched his diplomatic experience during this period, but he had also learned a lot from the Armenian people that could be of service in his future activities and for the rest of his life. The Ambassador assured that Armenia is in his heart, and he looks forward to the opportunity of being back to the country which has become so familiar to him.
For considerable contribution to the development of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, strengthening of friendship between the Armenian and Russian peoples, President Serzh Sargsyan awarded the Order of Friendship to Ivan Volynkin, congratulated and wished him every success in his future activities.
