Prime Minister Receives Robert Emmiyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received famous athlete, President of the Armenian Athletic Federation Robert Emmiyan. In attendance was Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Levon Vahradyan.
“I am glad to host you. All of us are fond of those emotions you gave our people all the way through your active sporting career during the Good Will Games, European Championships and, of course, as you managed your historic jump in Tsakhkadzor. We hope that the light athletics traditions will be reinstated in Armenia, and we will boast ever new achievements with your participation, support and encouragement in the near future,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
Thankful for the reception, Robert Emmiyan said, “Let me congratulate all of us on this wonderful victory. It is a great joy to have such a mood in the republic. It is a pleasure to come to Armenia every time. I am happy that you mentioned my sporting achievements.”
The renowned athlete said that while living abroad for many years, he held to his Armenian citizenship and kept assisting Armenian athletes to participate in trainings and international tournaments.
The parties discussed athletics development prospects, the process of building an international standards-compliant synthetic-coated runway and other infrastructure in Armenia.
