Solemn Opening of the Memorial and Museum Commemorating the Perished Freedom Fighters in Kolkhozashen
On 11 May Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited Kolkhozashen community of Martouni region and took part there at the solemn opening of the memorial and museum commemorating the perished freedom fighters.
The President handed in high state awards to a group of freedom fighters for the services rendered to the Homeland and delivered a speech.
Bako Sahakyan noted that the people of Kolkhozashen had always stood out with their patriotism and had actively been involved in the defense of the Homeland.
"Kolkhozashen is one of the ancient residences of Artsakh with diligence, modesty and commitment to the Homeland and home always been inherent to its people. You have a solid ground to take pride in your residence", the Head of the State emphasized in his remarks, asserting that the memorial would become a site of pilgrimage both for the Kolkhozashen and the entire Artsakh people.
