Pashinyan And Aliyev Had a Brief Conversation in Brussels.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, while attending the events of the 10th anniversary of the EU Union Eastern Partnership in Brussels, had a brief conversation on the current situation.
The prime minister of Armenia told Radio Liberty that he and his Azeri counterpart have not yet specified the date and place of the next round of talks.
"It is impossible to resolve any conflict, focusing solely on the interests of one of the parties involved, because I think that the most important obstacle to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement is the position of Azerbaijan not to talk with Karabakh. The truth is that this conflict has three sides - Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia. We emphasize the proper talks framework to resolve this conflict," the Prime Minister said. To the question whether there are plans of a further meeting the Prime Minister answered, “No plans yet, but I am sure that the talks will be continued. Karabakh’s return to the talks table is very important. Real settlement of the issue is impossible without Nagorno Karabakh.”
