Nikol Pashinyan: “The Military-Industrial Complex, Production Capacities, Enterprises Should Fit into the Structure of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry”
Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Military-Industrial Commission of the Republic of Armenia met today in the Office of Government.
Opening the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the defense industry is a priority for the Government of Armenia, and the latter has developed serious programs and goals relating to this sphere. Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the structural changes within the Government, as a result of which the Ministry of High-Tech Industry shall be established in Armenia.
“The military-industrial complex, production capacities, enterprises should fit into the structure of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry. We have already held several debates on this subject. Serious tasks need to be set in this field so that it could enhance our security level, and provide incentives for economic development in a bid to make of Armenia a technologically advanced country,” the Head of Government said.
The meeting went on to discuss issues related to the training of young specialists for the military-industrial complex, as well as the organization and effective use of the research-technology-military industry-economy circuit.
