Nikol Pashinyan, Anna Hakobyan Attend Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra Concert
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Mrs. Anna Hakobyan attended a concert by the Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra at the National Assembly Gardens, held on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of Komitas and the 80th Anniversary of Tigran Mansouryan.
The orchestra and choir, made up of 250 students from 25 schools of music and art, were created at the initiative of the Yerevan Municipality. For the first time, the Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra and its choir performed the Yerevan song by the great composer Tigran Mansourian during the concert.
Performed were musical pieces authored by Armenian composers, including works by Komitas, E. Mirzoyan, G. Saryan, E. Hovhannisyan, T. Mansouryan and N. Zarifyan. The young musicians are scheduled to perform these pieces in Armenia’s provinces and in Artsakh. Haroutun Arzumanyan is the artistic director, Lilit Yedigaryan – the conductor.
