Nikol Pashinyan Sends Condolence Cable on Passing of Yukiya Amano
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a message of condolences on the demise of Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The message reads:
"With deep sorrow, I learned of the demise of Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
As an experienced manager, Director General Amano had numerous achievements as he spearheaded the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency with great wisdom and dedication in these challenging times.
I have kept fond recollections of our latest meeting in Yerevan, during which we discussed important issues of mutual interest. Yukiya Amano will be remembered forever in Armenia as a sincere friend of our country, who made a significant contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Armenia, I express deepest condolences and sympathy to Yukiya Amano’s family and friends."
