Catholicos of All Armenians to Conduct Discussions with the PM Upon his Arrival From the USA
His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will discuss with Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan the statement about the church the premier made in USA.
“More probably we will refer to the issue upon the return of the prime minister to Armenia. We are periodically meeting and discussing the issues relating to the church and the homeland. More probably we will refer to the statement as well,” the Catholicos told the reporters.
Referring to the recent developments and particularly the resignations of law enforcement bodies’ chiefs, Karekin II said the country faces many issues the people are concerned with.
“We hope all the issues will get their solutions,” the Catholicos said, reports Aysor.
At a news conference in Los Angeles Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the state-church relations, noting that if the church decides to “dig a hole under government’s feet, they will be brought to their knees.”
