FM Mnatsakanyan Meets OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in NYC
Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on September 26 met with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Miroslav Lajčák in New York on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, the Armenian MFA told Armenpress. Welcoming Slovakia’s successful chairmanship at the OSCE, the Foreign Minister once again expressed Armenia’s support to the Slovakian chairmanship priorities on building safe future and developing effective bilateral diplomacy. The sides specifically highlighted taking actions aimed at raising the efficiency of the OSCE activity, emphasizing the need to address the challenges facing the organization and show enough will for the implementation of the OSCE set of tools, Armenpress reports. FM Mnatsakanyan introduced his partner on the ambitious reform agenda of the Armenian government, attaching great importance to the constant support of the OSCE structures in this process. At the request of Miroslav Lajčák, the Armenian FM introduced his recent meeting with the Azerbaijani FM held with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in New York. Presenting Armenia’s principled position and approaches in the process the minister highlighted the importance of expanding and strengthening Artsakh’s feeling of ownership to the process.
