Armenian Foreign Ministry Says Received no Notice from Russia Over Failed Arms Procurement Tender
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has received no notice so far over Russia’s alleged plans to send a note of protest to Armenia regarding failed arms procurement tender.
“I cannot comment on the Russian media report, as neither the Armenian Foreign Ministry nor the Armenian Embassy in Russia have received any notice from the Russian Foreign Ministry over this matter so far,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan told Panorama.am.
Earlier RIA Novosti reported that Russia is going to send a note of protest to Armenia over the failed weapons tender involving ORSIS, a Moscow-based rifle manufacturer.
Citing an official document, the media outlet said Russia intends to ask Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan to handle the issue.
TASS news agency refuted the report shortly afterwards.
