Russia Ready to Use its Opportunities for Regulating Armenian-Turkish Relations: Lavrov

Russia is ready to promote regulation of relations between Armenia and Turkey, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov stated today at the joint press conference with Armenia’s foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, ''Aysor'' reports.

"We are trying in any way to promote the progress in the relations between Armenia and Turkey. We are ready to use our opportunities to promote the regulation of relations between the two countries but for it we need interest from both states," Lavrov said.

He added that Russia sees no grounds to suppose that any of the countries may start war.

"In any case, our policy is directed toward establishment of peace and ensuring mutually beneficial cooperation," Russian minister said.
