Kazakhstan is Eager to See Investments Coming from Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted Republic of Kazakhstan Senate Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva. Welcoming Dariga Nazarbayeva’s visit, the Prime Minister said the recently activated top-level contacts are an evidence of the ongoing high-level dialogue. The Premier stressed that Armenia is keen to deepen relations with Kazakhstan on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the cooperation within international organizations, such as the EAEU and the CSTO. Hailing the current level political dialogue, he appreciated Kazakhstan’s balanced position with regard to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Speaking about trade and economic exchanges, Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that here is great development potential in this field that could be tapped by implementing joint projects and cooperating within the EAEU framework.

Dariga Nazarbayeva said she was impressed by her first visit to Armenia. She conveyed Kazakhstan’s willingness to strengthen relations with Armenia through active inter-parliamentary contacts. The Kazakh Senate Speaker complimented Nikol Pashinyan for Armenia’s successful EAEU presidency, which was marked by free trade agreements signed between Singapore and the EAEU to provide good opportunities for the development of the EAEU. In Dariga Nazarbayeva’s words, Kazakhstan is eager to see investments coming from Armenia.

The parties highlighted the role of the Armenian community as an important factor for friendship between the two countries. The head of the Armenian government thanked the leadership of Kazakhstan for their kind attitude towards the local Armenian community. Stressing that Kazakhstani Armenians are successful businessmen, Dariga Nazarbayeva noted that they are taking an active part in the development of her country.

The Armenian Prime Minister and the Kazakh Senate Speaker referred to the October meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, held in Yerevan, and the development of cooperation within the EAEU. Dariga Nazarbayeva expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ constructive cooperation on international platforms Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia looks forward to hosting Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev who is to pay an official visit to our country next year.
