Armenia PM: Holding Free, Fair, Transparent Elections in Karabakh is Extremely Important
Yesterday, together with Bako Sahakyan, President of the Artsakh Republic, we had a meeting with the figures who are going to nominate their candidacy for the presidential elections of Artsakh: Leader of the Democratic Party of Artsakh, incumbent Speaker of the Artsakh Republic, Ashot Ghoulyan; Artsakh Republic Foreign Minister Masis Mayilian, and chairman of the Free Homeland Party, Arayik Harutyunyan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan posted this on his Facebook page, News.am reports.
"We talked about the organization of the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held in Artsakh, the political situation in Artsakh," he added, in particular. “I also touched upon the process of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the work being carried out toward army-building.
I reaffirmed my position that holding free, fair, transparent presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh in line with international standards is extremely important, underlining that the RA government will assist the Artsakh authorities in this work in every way."
