PM Attends new Diamond Processing Plant Opening Ceremony
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the inauguration of ADM Diamonds plant in Abovyan. The company has 3600 square meters of production area and some 700 employees. About USD 3.5 million was invested in the project. The exports volume is expected to reach the mark of USD 100 million by 2020.
The Premier got familiarized with the diamond processing process and the company’s business plans. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the development of this sector in our country, assuring that the Government will provide all necessary support to the best of its ability.
ADM Diamonds uses its own raw materials, based on India’s experience, which allows the diamond sanding process to be carried out at different locations and at any distance. The managers noted that the given experience allows them to create jobs in distant regions, where there is a problem of employment, addressing thereby the most important social problem. The company runs a standalone workshop for disabled people, which will be expanded.
ADM Diamonds was founded in March 2017.
