President Sarkissian Met with the Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affaires and Expatriates
President Sarkissian met today with the Minister of Foreign Affaires and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Alman Al Safadi who is in Armenia on official visit.
The Minister conveyed to President Sarkissian cordial greetings from King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Hashimi and determination to move the bilateral cooperation forward.
President Sarkissian recalled warmly his visit to Jordan last April and meeting with King Abdullah II. He noted with gratitude that the royal family of Jordan has historically had warm attitude toward the Armenian nation and supported it. The President said that he had had a very constructive meeting with the King and was looking forward to hosting His Majesty in Armenia soon.
Minister Alman Al Safadi especially stressed the role of the Armenian community in the life of the country.
The parties discussed the opportunities for the development of the bilateral relations and efficient use of existing potential for cooperation in the mutually beneficial areas. According to the interlocutors, the two countries have multiple similarities and are carriers of ancient civilizations. Not rich in natural resources, Armenia and Jordan value and appreciate human resources.
The parties agreed that two countries can cooperate successfully in the areas of modern technologies, science, education, agriculture, food security, tourism and stressed the importance of implementation of practical steps.
