Armenian Red Cross Society to Assist Syrian Refugees Thanks to the Cooperation with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society
On 7 December, Dr. Anna Yeghiazaryan, Armenian Red Cross Society Secretary General and Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, Kuwait Red Crescent Society President, signed the agreement of “Syrian Refugee support in Armenia” project.
The project started on 1 November, 2019 and will continue until 31 October, 2020. The objective of the project is improving the social well-being of Syrian Refugees in Armenia, by providing humanitarian assistance and access to education.
In the frames of the project:
60 the most vulnerable families will receive food parcels quarterly,
170 the most vulnerable families will receive cash vouchers for winter cloths two times during the year,
30 the most vulnerable beneficiaries will receive grants for expensive medical interventions
40 students from vulnerable families will receive educational partly fees.
The overall amount of the support will be USD 100 000.
