Armenia FM receives head of Russia Federal Council Committee on International Affairs
On December 18, Armenia's Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the Russian Federal Council Committee on International Affairs.
Mnatsakanyan highly appreciated the active dialogue in Armenian-Russian allied relations, and the willingness of the players to take practical steps to further expand and enrich the existing cooperation.
The interlocutors emphasized the tradition of mutual support and mutual trust between Armenia and Russia on the international parliamentary platforms, and reaffirmed their mutual readiness to continue this close cooperation.
At Kosachov's request, the Armenian Foreign Minister presented the latest developments over the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. It was mutually emphasized that there is no alternative to a peaceful settlement, and that any settlement should be acceptable to the peoples of all parties to the conflict.
