Armenia PM: Congratulations on your Holiday, Victorious, Glorious Armenian Army!

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today made a Facebook post on Army Day.

"Today is the Day of the Armenian Army," he wrote in particular. "Fact number 35/2: By the Government’s decision, the specific figures for the monthly increase in the salaries of the Armenian Army serviceman since June 1, 2019 are as follows:

- Commander of the regiment - 22,000 drams, 4.6%.

- Deputy Commander of the regiment - 51,000 AMD, 12.7%.

- Battalion commander – 88,000 drams, 23%.

- Company commander - 97,000 drams, 32.6%.

- Commander of the platoon – 72,000 drams, 26.2%.

- Senior sub-officer - 38,000 drams, 18%.

- Ordinary contract soldier – 23,000 drams, 13.7%.

- Contract sergeant (passed the training) – 49,000 drams, 22%.

The figures above are an added portion of the pay after tax. That is, this is the extra money that people take to their home each month. Depending on the nature of the service, ranking, these numbers may increase or decrease slightly. Moreover, the additions, depending on the nature of the service, are significant and tangible, whereas the deductions, depending on the nature of the service again, are not significant.
