President of Armenia's National Assembly Receives Delegation Led by Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission
On February 7, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich.
Welcoming the guests the President of the National Assembly congratulated Mikhail Myasnikovich on being elected in the office of the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission and wished him success in his further works. Ararat Mirzoyan has underlined that the Eurasian Economic Union is an important organization for Armenia, and during the EEU Jubilee Summit held in Yerevan last year the priorities of the structure have been predetermined, the geography of the actions has been expanded, new directions of cooperation with Iran has been indicated, as well as an Agreement on Free Trade with Singapore has been signed, and these two directions will be very important.
Mikhail Myasnikovich highly assessed the relations formed with Armenia. Underlining the high reputation of the Head of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan in the organization, he discussed the opportunity of RA NA President’s support inside the EEU and in solving a number of issues facing the structure on the international platforms.
The interlocutors talked about harmonisation of the legislative field in the Eurasian Economic Commission. The Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has informed that the EEU strategy project is worked out, and they will be very glad, if it is supported also at parliamentary level. Mikhail Myasnikovich has noted that taking into consideration the Armenian parliamentarians’ reputation on the international platforms, asks our parliamentarians’ support in case of relevant recommendations.
Ararat Mirzoyan has reaffirmed that Armenia is intended to be constructive and open for cooperation in all directions.
