Nikol Pashinyan Received the President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Dmitry Pankin, President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB).
The Prime Minister noted that the country's economy is growing dynamically, and the government is interested in developing cooperation with the BSTDB in the latter’s financing the private sector. In his words, there is great potential for cooperation in energy, tourism, agriculture, and IT.
According to Pankin, the BSTDB is mainly focused on financing small and medium-sized businesses in Armenia through commercial banks, but projects for the infrastructure and energy sectors are also planned in the near future.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the ongoing trends in the abovementioned sectors in the country show that there are wide opportunities for development, and the need for attracting finances will increase year by year.
"That is, there is a wide field of cooperation," Pashinyan said, and he welcomed the signing of a $10mn loan agreement between the BSTDB and a commercial bank in Armenia, and the directing of the measures to fund small and medium-sized enterprises.
