Austrian FM: EU Will not Allow Turkey to Blackmail it with Refugees

The EU will not allow Turkey to blackmail it by organizing the flow of illegal migrants, said Austrian FM Alexander Schallenberg upon arrival at an informal meeting of EU FM in Zagreb.
According to him, the behavior of Turkey - which cynically puts pressure on the EU with the help of unprotected people - is unacceptable, TASS reports.
A total of 36 Turkish soldiers have been killed by the Syrian forces. Thus, Ankara has decided not to stop the Syrian refugees to get into the EU. The EU is negotiating with Turkey to resolve the situation and promises support for Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus. The border between Turkey and the EU has been closed for migrants since 2016 under the agreement of Brussels and Ankara on a visa-free regime.
