Azerbaijan Informed neither Armenia, nor International Organizations about the Military Exercises: RA Defense Ministry Spokesperson
Azerbaijan informed neither Armenia, nor international organizations about the upcoming large-scale military exercises, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan informed ''Armedia IAA''.
Earlier, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported, that the Azerbaijani army will hold large-scale operational-tactical exercises on May 18-22, which will involve up to 10,000 military personnel, up to 120 tanks and armored vehicles, up to 200 missiles and artillery systems of various caliber.
Under the OSCE Vienna Document 2011, before conducting such large-scale exercises Azerbaijan is obliged to notify Armenia and international organizations about it.
In response to ''Armedia IAA'' question, press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that "Azerbaijan has not notified either Armenia or international organizations about the large-scale military exercises."
