Arayik Harutyunyan Signed a Decree on the 2020 Summer Draft and Demobilization
On 30 May Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan signed a decree on the 2020 summer draft and demobilization.
According to the decree in July-August 2020 male citizens of the Artsakh Republic to become 18 years old until June 30, 2020 inclusive, who have not exercised the right to draft deferment or have lost it, as well as those citizens to become 18 years old until June 30, 2020, inclusive, included in the lists approved by the the Artsakh Republic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, who participated in the entrance exams for higher education institutions and did not submit the document certifying the right to draft deferment until July 15, 2020, will be called up to mandatory military service.
In compliance with the decree, within the framework of 2020 summer draft, servicemen who have completed their mandatory military service within the period defined by law will be demobilized from the army before July 31, inclusive.
