Armenia’s PM: Citizen of Armenia Not a Material to Die from Coronavirus
Only in a day the coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 100,000, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the cabinet sitting today, Aysor.am reports.
He said the number of cases exceeded 12 million.
“The countries which stated about overcoming coronavirus, unfortunately return to the most active phase of the pandemic,” he said, adding that the WHO has stated about the COVID-19 airborne transmission.
Pashinyan stressed that the disease is being spread in Armenia intensively.
“I want to stress once again that our epidemiological strategy remains the same – that is we must learn to live with the rules that will allow to bring the number of cases to zero,” he said.
The Prime Minister reminded about the new decision of the commandant about allowing people with certain diseases not to wear masks in open public territories.
“We must be able to ensure compliance with epidemiological rules with the strictest administrative measures and we will be consistent and in case of necessity will apply tougher measures. Our goal is not to subject people to administrative punishment but make people wear masks because the citizen of the Republic of Armenia is not a material to die from coronavirus,” the PM said.
