Russia’s FM Discussed with Azerbaijani Side NK Status Issue and Liberation of Surrounding Territories: Russian MFA

Russia’s Foreign Ministry's official representative Marina Zakharova has not commented on the accuracy of the quoting of Russia’s FM Sergey Lavrov’s words at the meeting with Azerbaijani parliament head as presented by the Azerbaijani parliament’s press service, Aysor reports.

“As to the accuracy of the quoting of the minister’s words, I want to draw your attention and principally address these questions to the sources from where this information has been received. Consequently, I will not even pause on them. You are well aware of our position over this issue, we have a big request – be guided with it and not different comments which the Russian side does not make,” Zakharova said.

As to the Karabakh conflict settlement, Maria Zakharova stated that during the meeting with the Azerbaijani side the parties “discussed the previously voiced fundamental principles of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, including the solution of the issue of status of Nagorno Karabakh as well as the liberation of surrounding territories.”
