Youth Sports, Fitness and Recreation Center is Being Built in Stepanakert

On 25 September Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan received philanthropist Vladimir Avagyan.
The program of establishing in Stepanakert a youth sports, fitness and recreation center in conformity with modern requirements on the principle of co-financing was discussed with participation of the ministers of Urban Development and Military-Patriotic Upbringing, Youth, Sports and Tourism. As reported by the minister of Urban Development, there are appropriate building conditions for the center, the project is ready, it has been agreed with the philanthropist and the construction activities are underway.
At the suggestion of the President of the Republic, the participants of the meeting visited the construction site of the center and got acquainted on the spot with the opportunities envisaged for the center by the project. Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the establishment of such centers is of great importance both from the viewpoint of educating a healthy generation and developing the sports life in the country. According to the President, the state will encourage further on the opening of new sports halls both in the capital and in other communities of the republic.
