Russia Actively Working not to Allow Destabilizing External Influence in Nagorno Karabakh Conflict Zone: Ambassador
Russia is actively working and is in constant touch with all the parties – Armenian, Azerbaijani and Turkish – to stop the escalation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone, Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said at a press conference today, aysor.am reports.
“Everything is being done to stop the escalation, to start peaceful negotiations and not to allow destabilizing external influence,” Russia’s ambassador said.
He stressed that there is no alternative to the peace process based on compromises.
“Traditionally Russia sees its issue in not allowing the escalation and as a mediator create conditions for finding mutually acceptable peaceful solution. Russia is doing everything, including collaboration with the other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to stop the escalation,” the ambassador said.
