Armenia’s MOD Warns Iran About Possible Strikes to Azerbaijani Armed Forces at Iran’s State Border
Head of the General Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Levon Ayvazyan met today with military attaché of the Iran’s Embassy in Armenia, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin, MOD press service reports.
During the meeting Ayvazyan informed that, despite several calls of the Armenian side, Azerbaijani armed forces continue to gather forces and carry out operations along the length of the border of Iran, taking shelter at the state border.
Ayvazyan reiterated the need to move the operations of Azerbaijani armed forces at a safe distance from the Iranian border.
On behalf of Artsakh's Defense Army, Ayvazyan told the Iranian side that if the situation in the mentioned sector remains unchanged the Defense Army reserves itself the right to strike Azerbaijani armed forces at the state border of Iran with destructive strikes.
He stressed that the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan will bear full responsibility for the consequences.
