During War You Don't Search for Attackers, They Are Coming: Hovhannisyan to Aliyev

Yesterday during the whole night the fights continued, Ministry of Defense representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said at a briefing today, Aysor.am reports.

He said the subversive groups in the woods near the town of Shushi, in communities, roads and gorges are trying to solve certain task.

He noted in the morning the fights were more intensive.

“During the day the Azerbaijani armed forces again tried to move forward in the northern direction – Red Bazar, in the southern, with small attacking groups, minimal number of armored vehicles but was thrown back suffering certain losses,” he said.

As to the subversive groups near Shushi, Hovhannisyan said after facing the repel of Armenian armed forces they do not wage long fights.

“During the day we succeeded to circle some and eliminate, pushing them back with losses,” the representative said.

“Azerbaijani president said the troops are attacking Shushi, but how it happens that we must one by one detect and eliminate. During each kind of war the attackers are not being searched, they are coming,” Hovhannisyan said.

He said the fights continue.
