Two Programs to Support the People of Artsakh are Being Implemented; Another Program Will Be Adopted for the Citizens Left Homeless
A Cabinet meeting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Referring to the support programs implemented for our Artsakh-based compatriots, the Prime Minister advised that two such programs had already been approved for individual beneficiaries. “Several individuals from the same family can be beneficiaries of these two activities. We are discussing and will soon adopt a program for the citizens left homeless due to hostilities. Here, too, beneficiaries are individuals, not families. We just hope that together with the Government of Artsakh, we will make an estimate in the nearest future so that we can properly formulate and implement the program. Other support programs will also be implemented in the near future. In the meantime, I wish to state that the aforementioned programs will help our compatriots from Artsakh to return and live in Artsakh as soon as possible. This is the key focus of our programs and, of course, we must do everything to support them in this matter,” the Prime Minister said.
Presenting the latest COVID-19-related statistics, Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan said the situation has improved slightly and remains relatively stable. He assured that the healthcare system stands ready to solve the existing problems. The Premier was briefed on the ongoing efforts to purchase a vaccine.
The meeting approved an investment program worth USD 10 million, which provides for the construction of a park and a multifunctional center. The 2020 road construction program is complete: 550 km-long road sections have been built in the period under review. Stressing the importance of fulfilling the plan for 2020, Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that everything should be done for capital investments to be as efficient as possible.
In conclusion, the Executive passed a decision on appointing Mesrop Mesropyan Governor of Kotayk Marz of Armenia.
