Two Artsakh Servicemen Killed in Explosion
Two servicemen of the Artsakh Defense Army were killed in an explosion while performing their military duty, the Artsakh Defense Army reported on Wednesday. According to the source, the incident took place on December 1, when the soldiers were removing ammunition from the defense position of one of the military bases located in the eastern direction. The deceased soldiers were identified as Jirayr Vachik Matevosyan (born in 2001) and Gegham Meruzhan Hovhannisyan (born in 2001).
An investigation is launched to look into the circumstances of the accident, Panorama.am reports.
The Defense Ministry shares the heavy grief of the loss, extending its condolences to the families and fellow servicemen of the deceased, the source said.
