Russian, Armenian Military Cooperation Predicated on Existing Demands in Security Sector: Russian Ambassador
The cooperation between Armenian and Russian ministries of defense is very tight and intensive, Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said in response to Aysor.am’s question.
“This cooperation fully reflects the strategic, allied nature of relations that tie our countries. It is predicated on the realities and demands in the security sector existing now,” Kopirkin said.
To note, Armenia’s defense minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan stated that Armenia aligns the Armenian-Russian relations and the structure of its army to the threat of the Turkish army in the region.
