Embassy of Armenia in Russia Condemns Act of Vandalism against Armenian Cemetery in Yaroslavl Region
The Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation made a comment in connection with the act of vandalism against the Armenian cemetery in the Yaroslavl region.
"According to the information received, in the village of Kurba, Yaroslavl District, Yaroslavl Region, unknown persons committed an act of vandalism against the gravestones on the territory of the Armenian cemetery. As a result about 50 gravestones were damaged.
We condemn the act of vandalism against the gravestones on the territory of the Armenian cemetery in the village of Kurba.
We are convinced that the law enforcement agencies of the Yaroslavl Region will take all the necessary steps to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible. In this regard, we are in constant contact with law enforcement agencies and representatives of local authorities'', the statement reads.
