US Embassy in Yerevan Calls on its Citizens to be Alert

The US Embassy in Armenia has issued a demonstration alert and called on US citizens to be alert, News.am reports.

The message reads as follows:

“Over the next two weeks, demonstrations or rallies related to elections may take place in Yerevan and other locations throughout Armenia. U.S. citizens should exercise vigilance, avoid crowds, and remain alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.

Actions to take: avoid the area, monitor local media for updates, avoid crowds, avoid demonstrations, notify friends and family of your safety, be aware of your surroundings.”
